“The Mouse-Clicker That Roared”

16 August 2004 0 views 4 Comments

NEW UPDATE/EDIT (9/29/04): I have noted, with a bit of disappointment, that ‘this blog post‘ is the most viewed post on my entire blog. I recognize that there is a certain salacious aspect of this story, but that’s not why the post is here. The post is here to serve as an example of the ‘single most stupid reason to blog‘. It is ‘blogs’ like this that have given the term such a poor association in public perception of ‘blogging’. If you think about it, PR has suffered a similar problem with references like ‘hack’ ‘flack’ and the sad fact that P. T. Barnum is seen as an example of a early PR practitioner, by some.

See “Lizzie Grubman – PR poster child? anathema (curse)?”

And, back to blogging, this type of self-serving ‘blog-flagellation’ (by Jessica Cutler) should serve as the best example of the single most stupid ‘way’ to blog (or keep a personal diary). Jessica Cutler was using ‘blogger/blogspot’ which does not allow for ‘private’ blogs. She should have used ‘LiveJournal’ or a ‘hosted solution’ for something as personal and sick as her ‘diary’. Stuff like this should [a] never be done, in the first place. But, since that’s just dreaming, it should [b] never be written about in an open forum, and [c] if you’re going to engage in this stupidity, at least be smart enough to realize that it should be in a private blog available ‘solely’ to friends.

And, let’s face it, ‘washingtonienne‘ isn’t the sharpest tool in the shed, so to speak.

Jessica Cutler is a sad spectacle.

Students. Going to Washington, D.C. for your internship?

When you intern, keep a blog. … er, maybe not. I guess it depends upon ‘what kind of blog’ you keep ;)

I have a “glamour job” on the Hill. That is, I could not care less about gov or politics, but working for a Senator looks good on my resume. And these marble hallways are such great places for meeting boys and showing off my outfits.

True thing – when I read about her, and saw her last name, I thought “great, she’s Jewish, just what we need.”

When my friend read about her, and found out she is Korean, her first thought was “great, she’s Korean, just what we need.”

Interesting that each ethnic group really didn’t want to claim her.
