Harvard Podcast Think Tank

Yep, no kidding: Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard Law School, February 3, 2005 Podcasting Virtual Seminar.

Note: The meetings are on Thursday nights. “Every Thursday evening, until further notice, we have meetings for weblog-writers at 7PM at Berkman ” That’s 6:00 PM Central Time. What do you say I start the live video at 6:00 PM and we watch a bit of it. Their site suggests that ‘sometimes’ the video feed doesn’t work. Our class that night ends at 6:15 PM. Could be fun. (Now, to remember to do it.) ;)

Rebecca McKinnon is already creating audio presentations via blog (1/3/2005). She has her own radio producer, Benjamen Walker. Ah, to have funding. ;) The audio is actually quite good. No big surprise. McKinnon “was CNN’s Tokyo bureau chief and correspondent”. The audio has a very “PBS All Things Considered” flavour. And, they are talking about ‘opensource CMS’, too.

Thanks to Kaye Trammell of LSU for the tip off to the event. By the way, her “doctoral dissertation dealt with celebrity blogs. Watch her doctoral defense” by clicking on the ‘.mov’ file link – top lefthand column on her blog. (I have yet to get the ‘.mov’ file to play, but I’ll try other computers. May be a codec thing.) She “makes” her students blog, too.
