Jeremy, those would have been good ideas for GP to pursue.

I've changed the post to clarify the ended relationship.

Upon re-visiting the blog, I am quite 'unamused' to realize that they have a category titled "Educational". I wonder what, if any, educational value exists in the posts. Well, except for "How Not To Blog".

Robert, yep. We had some great stuff planned for the blog, including creating a true community of users and poker players around it and all kinds of things.
Feel free to edit the post to reflect that we aren't doing this ;-)

Thanks for the clarification, Jeremy.

They should have listened to you. And, they should have paid, too.

How sad. They value (and they'll pay for) silly carny icons, but won't pay for good advice. This speaks volumes about GoldenPalace's values.

Given this new info, GoldenPalace sounds like they've failed on their own accord. So, taking the blog in-house might not be a good idea, either.

GP is no longer a client. After refusing to pay, things turned very sour very quickly ;-)
All of the points you addressed were things we targetted in our initial assessment.
I guess it's our own fault for not announcing that they're no longer a client.
