Philippe Cherel Launches PR.ojectZ

March 23, 2006 by Robert

Welcome Philippe Cherel’s blog PR.ojet Z to live status. It was live - for him and a few select readers - as Philippe spent the first three months blogging silently. I came upon Philippe’s blog quite by accident on January 2, 2006.

…launching a blog requires thoughtful consideration… take time to get comfortable and read blogs…

Philippe did what most people should do when embarking on writing a blog. He read blogs and wrote in private while getting his feet wet. I encourage others to do the same. With my students, we don’t have that luxury as I only have them for three to four months at a time. So, we dive right in - but, I do have them reading blogs and exploring the ideas behind ‘why’ one might blog.

Finding Philippe’s blog was quite fun. Guilluame, who contributes to Marcomblog, works with him in Paris. Philippe was very nice and contacted me with news of his initial blogging efforts. I am happy to see him going live today. He is a role model for those looking to launch a blog. Take your time and get your feet under you. Look around and write posts. Find your voice. Philippe has found his and now joins the 400+ PR bloggers in an interesting new media/social media community.

About Philippe:

Pr-addict and mediavore. The proof, I made my trade of it (and my blog perso). I am currently the general manager of the Parisian office of a great international agency of public relations.

The blog is written in French, so use the Babelfish translation tool in the sidebar, or check out Google’s translation services if you - like me - are language challenged. Sadly, French may be my last name, but I can’t read it to save my life.

I am pleased to have made Philippe’s acquaintance and look forward to reading his thoughts on PR and media for a long time.

Welcome, Philippe, you are a welcome addition to blog world.

Students, add Philippe to your list of blogs to visit and comment on for the rest of this semester - and beyond.
