Cornell did not win the Best of Blogs (BOBs) award for ‘Best Innovation’ … but, it was a fun ride. I still believe that they have a great innovative use for community/stakeholder input into a truly large project (redesign of the university’s web portal). Further, the university deserves praise and credit for being so bold as to allow the ‘conversation’ to take place.
Why do I say that? Because, so many large institutions are ‘conversation’ averse. Whether it be fear or ignorance, the controlling interests usually do not …

After a weekend which saw me fixing a computer problem for an septuagenarian and then responding to a discussion in a listserv group, I found this article. It speaks volumes on the role the Internet will play in your future. Further, it served to securely reinforce my feelings of how – on almost any given topic – you can divide the audience into ‘factions’. As for online, we live in at least two different cultures. Wired and Un-Wired.

Questions of a Two-Year-Old: The Cotas
They were predicting one to two inches of snow last night, but we ended up with just a light dusting. After she got dressed, Lily went outside to touch the snow. Jack, still in his pajamas, was feeling left out. So I went out, made a miniature snowball and brought it into the house for him.
He stood there with this tiny snowball slowly melting in his hands and then asked, “Dad, is this magic?”
